Although the summer season is over, there will still be events at Lock 3 Park including the Farmer's Market (which ends on September 20th) and the ice skating rink which will be back during the holiday season.

Thanks to everyone who attended our concerts at Lock 3 Park this summer as well as tuning into our new Lock 3 blog, MySpace, Twitter, Flickr, Lock 3 TV on Youtube /Yahoo Vide oand everything else I created in the lab to keep all of you interactive with us this summer.

Lock 3 Ends This Weekend With Rock N' Hip Hop

What started in May with Mr. Speed and Old School Soul will end in grand fashion this weekend with Rock and Roll and Hip Hop.

On Friday, WONE's Rock The Lock ends the summer with ZZ Top tribute band, Sharp Dressed Men with the Rock Bottom Band at 7pm.

On Saturday afternoon, Lock 3 Park and Keepers of The Arts presents The First Annual Hip Hop Showcase beginning at 3pm.

The day will also feature regional rappers with positive lyrics, break dancers and graffiti artists, culminating in a evening performance by Slick Rick and Doug E, Fresh with Cleveland's own DJ Mick Boogie spinning tunes throughout the night, (see a complete roster of acts at lock3live.com).

Admission for the First Annual Hip Hop showcase will be $5.

Lock 3 Scavenger Hunt: Peter Noone Tickets


OK Noonatic fans, here's a contest for you that doesn’t involve taking pictures or making Youtube videos.

Throughout the area, we have sprinkled a few pair of general admission tickets for Peter Noone's concert on Saturday @ 7pm.

All you have to do is look at list and find the tickets. When you do find a pair of tickets, contact us at lock3park@yahoo.com and we'll cross that location off of the list.

Locations:

1.) Borders (Fairlawn) -Find a book called The Sixties: Photographs by Robert Altman. A pair of tickets will be on page 122.

2.) Borders Express (Chapel Hill) -Find a book called Guitar Heaven by Neville Marten. A pair of tickets will be on page 99.

3.) Rolling Acres Mall -Go inside the mall and find the “Community Corner section by the old Macy’s store. Look in slot the for “Mall Events” section and you will find a pair of tickets .

4.) Barnes & Noble (Fairlawn) -Find a book called Led Zeppelin: 1968-1980 by Keith Shadwick. A pair of tickets will be on page 146.

5.) Borders on Howe Avenue (Cuyahoga Falls) -Find a book called Rock and Roll Year By Year by Luke Crampton and Dafydd Rees. A pair of tickets will be on page 148.
