Great Big Sea This Weekend

Judging by the buzz, this might be one of the biggest concerts ever at Lock 3 Park.

Ever since it was announced that Great Big Sea (GBS) will be performing on the Time Warner stage on August 16th, the phones has been ringing non-stop and for good reason.

The Canadian born rockers has gained a devoted fan base that thoroughly enjoys GBS' combination of energetic rock and traditional Newfoundland folk songs, which draw from the island's 500-year-old Irish, English, and French heritage.
The hardworking band has earned eight gold and platinum albums in their short existence and Lock 3 Park looks like another step for Great Big Sea to break even more records.

Adding to the evening’s Canadian vibe is opening act Jeremy Fisher, whose work is heavily influenced by folk and blues music kicks off the evening at 7pm. Admission price for this evening concert is only $5.

On Friday evening, WONE’s Rock The Lock presents Tragic magic and Vertigo, A Tribute to U2 at 7pm. Gates open on both nights at 6:30pm.
